Submissions Policy

Genuine Productions, LLC (hereinafter “Genuine Productions”) at all times has many properties, products, projects, content, and designs in various stages of development and/or under license, and the results of these endeavors may be similar or identical to your own products, projects, content or designs. In order to prevent possible future misunderstandings when products or designs developed by our own employees or licensees might seem to others to be similar to their own creative work, it is Genuine Productions’ policy not to accept unsolicited submissions of proposals, creative ideas, or materials of any kind. Accordingly, please do not send us confidential or proprietary information, such as product concepts, scripts, treatments, designs, stories, ideas, samples, mock-ups, original artwork or other original creative materials or suggestions. If you ignore Genuine Productions’ policy and submit any creative suggestions, ideas, notes, drawings, concepts, designs, stories other elements listed above, or other information (collectively, “Unsolicited Submissions”), you hereby assign to Genuine Productions all rights of every nature and kind, in perpetuity, throughout the world, in and to such Unsolicited Submissions. The Unsolicited Submissions shall be deemed, and shall remain, the property of Genuine Productions. None of the Unsolicited Submissions shall be subject to any obligation of confidentiality on Genuine Productions’ part and Genuine Productions shall not be liable for any use or disclosure of any Unsolicited Submissions. Without limitation of the foregoing, Genuine Productions shall exclusively own all now-known and hereafter existing rights in and to the Unsolicited Submissions of every kind and nature, throughout the world, and shall be entitled to unrestricted use of the Unsolicited Submissions for any purpose whatsoever, commercial or otherwise, without compensation of any kind to the provider of the Unsolicited Submissions or to anyone else.

We really do love new ideas, and we like to think that we’re pretty nice folks, but there are some good reasons why entertainment production companies like us have such a strict policy when it comes to unsolicited submissions. First, we have so much going on, we have to make sure we’re not inundated with materials. Second, we have to protect ourselves and our own intellectual properties from a legal standpoint, and specifically under U.S. and international copyright law.
